AGRICULTURE OF ROCKINGHAM COUNTY

Proud of our homegrown heritage.

Our Town 2013-1886Rockingham County, NC is known as a good place for making things — whether
it’s massed produced products, handmade goods or homegrown crops from our rich soil.

We’re proud of our agricultural heritage.  New uses for long-standing family farms are yielding a new era of crops.  Our local vineyards and wineries produce a variety of grapes and award-winning wines.

Multiple farmers’ markets celebrate our farming heritage and provide homegrown goodness to the community.  Our markets and farmers are committed to providing only locally sourced produce and food from the region.  We also have several venues in the agri-tourism business that host special events to give visitors a first-hand experience at farm life
